Fluidized Bed Boiler
This is a technique of combustion of solid fuel or biomass with full turbulence in an ash fuel mixture under the influence of air pressure up to temperatures of 900°C. This type of combustion systems are named as fluidized bed burner since the ash fuel mixture at these temperatures acts as on the fluid’s dynamics.
Fluidized bed boilers have been used especially for burning low calorie lignite coal. There is no emission problem with a well-designed, full automated-driven fluidized bed boilers. Fluidized bed boilers manufactured by our company;
- Superheated and saturated steam boilers
- Hot water boilers
- Hot air generators
Bubbling Fluidized Bed Boiler
These are the boilers in which gas velocities in the bed are low. The bubbling fluidized bed boiler is smaller in size than the circulating fluidized bed boiler, the reason for this is the advantage that the bed evaporators bring to the bubbling fluidized bed boilers. Due to these size differences, it comes with low initial investment costs compared to the circulating fluidized bed boilers. It is very difficult to calculate the surface area of the evaporator to be placed on the bed in order to keep the bed temperature constant for different type of coal in bubbling fluidized bed boilers. Ünversan Boiler has experienced the authenticity of boiler designs for coal from Turkey’s different regions.
Capacity utilization rate of bubbling fluidized bed boilers can reach maximum 60 ton / h. Circulating fluidized bed boilers are preferred over these capacities. One of the most important factors affecting the efficiency of the boilers is its continuous burn. Boilers we manufacture work 30% to 100% proportionally. The steam boilers we manufacture are highly efficient watertube type, and the drum has no contact with the fire.
Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler
These are the boilers in which gas velocities in the bed are high.With high speeds, ash and fuel in the bed drift into the gas stream and rise along the boiler to the hot or cold cyclone, where it is returned to the bed.
It is preferred for capacities above 60 ton /h and mostly high calorific values coal. The necessary erosion precautions are taken in the boiler and cylinder for abrasion of ash and fuel due to velocity.
Cyclone is produced in two types, hot and cold cyclone. There is no cooling surface in the hot cyclone and it is completely coated with friction-resistant refractor.
The cold cyclone is produced from evaporator surfaces and is coated by a thin but highstrength refractory or ceramic which is resistant to friction.
The fuel is turned in the boiler and the cyclone until fully burned. Gases that are cleaned from ash and fuel particles in the cylinder enter the superheater (if present) and evaporator.
The steam boilers we manufacture are highly efficient watertube type, and the drum has no contact with fire.
